Recycled customized pen

Primitive?  Yes.  But it is one of my favorite environmental logo products because of it's simplicity.  The body of the pen is made of recycled cardboard, the plastic bits are from biodegradable material and check out the cute little clip?  It is created from recycled wood.  This inexpensive eco-friendly logo giveaway screams "We're doing our part to save the planet"

The industry is offering pens made of biodegradable material also.  They are very nice and a great quality item, fantastic idea.  but...the thing is when you receive one, it' s not obvious that the custom eco pen is a feel good green promotional product.  They so closely resemble an average everyday plastic logo pen.  See what I mean by the white pens below?  Great style, write like a dream, but I would recommend letting everyone know that they are biodegradable.  Maybe "Thoughtfully produced with biodegradable materials from your company"  or maybe a small symbol on the clip. 


I think this  custom trigger wood pen is really interesting.   I can't seem to get the image to show properly, so here is a link to the logo recycled wood pen with a recycled steel crank.  You'll like it. Old fashioned look to it. I picture it like something that one of my Grandpa's used.
