Corporate Safety Gifts

Early morning get togethers, case studies, news paper clippings, dough nuts, bagels, hand outs ~ are just some things associated with safety meetings. Corporate safety programs are a big deal. I have a safety Guru in my family, so I know first hand the pain they feel each week trying to keep it real, to sincerely express concern for safety.  It's not just mandated empty corporate talk to save "The man" money.  Nobody is lining up to be the one to make the call to a spouse or partner that their loved one has had a life threatening injury. 

We've done everything for companies with safety in mind from customized fire extinguishers, to logo safety glasses, to customized hard hats.  I discovered these light related safety giveaways today that can be customized and thought these would help liven things up at the morning meetings.  They're at a good price point, are stand out clever, useful, and would help keep employees safe.  I think they would express safety not just at work, but at their homes for their families too.  What do you think? How much space would this tool take up?  It does the work of 6 different corporate safety tools.  It is a LED flashlight, it has a warning flasher with 3 red LED's, a whistle, glass break hammer, safety belt cutter and it's RoHS and marked CE .  I would want both of my boys to have one in their cars.  Look at this one:

It has the magnetic base like the safety tool I noted above and it also has a hanging loop.  (Maybe a tent?  Hood in a roadside emergency?)  It is an emergency flashing tool that can also be set to multi-color mood changing mode. I'm really lucky,  I've never been in an emergency situation at night, on the side of the road.  This would be good to have if I was.  Positive association with the company who provided it to me and saved me...forever.

  Isn't it just amazing the things they have available for us?  This is a customized hand crank safety LED light.  It has an alarm, a radio, an emergency siren, a lighter adapter, a spotlight and can convert to batter power.  

The coolest though?  The swirling LED safety light. It has 16 LED lights and is visible up to 1/2 mile away.  It is water resistant and floats.  Has a strong magnet on the back.You can chose from one of 8 different flash patterns, including Morse code. You can even switch it into flash light mode. This would work good in a warehouse too, don't you think?  Help with warning people that a specific location is under maintenance.  If you are working on a piece of equipment and have the main switch shut down.  Stick this warning light up to notify others, prevent them from hitting the switch back on and causing you injury.  It's about 4.5 inches wide, comes in yellow or orange and arrives in a drawstring bag.    It has a fun side too, you can use it as your disco dance lights. Corporate Technology Gifts

I feel like we've been on a plateau for a bit as far as launching exciting new custom technology gifts.  Then BANG ~ we get three new entries within a month.  You saw the logo digital photo frame orb, yes? and the customized plug and play video recorder?  Now we have a brand new logo tech gift to offer:  A customized E-Mail voice recorder.

Custom Logo Kits

  Who is your target market?  When doing a custom gift, maybe a specialized kit could be the answer.

We can logo up anything these days. I'd be one for this gardeners kit.  Has my little knee pad, some gloves to protect my bitten nails, a digger, rake and spade.  The bottom is water resistant too, nice design idea.

I know I talk about my Aunt Eleanor a lot, but she is the one responsible for getting me into not only traveling, but gardening too.  Some of my favorite times were walking with her around her garden.  She had a story for every plant. "Snuck this one in from Germany" and "Picked this one up in Maine", "This rose bush goes back to your Great Grandfather", just magic stuff.  Aunt Eleanor is also the person who taught me the importance of keeping a shovel in your car.  You never know when an opportunity will arise that you'll spot another special plant for your garden. Always be prepared!  I'm one of those now.  I stop along the side of the road to dig up a wild flower.  I would so keep this gardening kit in my trunk.

I have one.  Love it.  It's a pocket size custom video camera that doesn't need a bunch of adapters, accessories or a CD to fiddle with. Flip Camcorder is a great way to catch some great moments as CNN says: "On the fly"    Shoot and watch, or shoot, plug directly into your computer with the "flip out" USB plug, upload and share.  Quick, easy and if you're like me, you'll appreciate that there is nothing to misplace. I was in Boston last week to catch a concert. I took out my video player and filmed some bits to share with my buds who couldn't make the trip.   Fantastic.

Here is a photo of one we recently customized for our client Horizon Milling. They needed a unique gift recognizing their employees that had exceeded safety standards. They were sick of the "same ole ~ same ole".  If their people were striving and working hard to improve, Horizon wanted to show that they really cared and appreciated their efforts. Gift cards wouldn't do. It's not just corporate talk for Horizon Milling.  Safety is serious stuff. They spent a lot of time choosing, what they hoped would be just the piece, that along with the safety recognition, would delight employees.

Custom Logo Mugs

I'm into the new styles, color options of corporate glassware and optional custom snack plates that are coming into promotional play lately. The two tones with the darker interiors add a nice touch and help them to appear much richer looking.

No matter how long they've been around; mugs are still popular giveaway items.  People really do appreciate receiving a nice one.   When the time comes to choose a promotional item for your event and you want to do glassware, fight the urge of the common!  Don't do it, don't give out one of those white or marble, 11 oz C handle mugs that end up in the back of everyone's cabinet.  The ones that are left behind at so many hotels for the maid to throw away.

 

Maybe it's the shape, or the texture, or the funky color that the logo mug comes in or that you add a cute logo biscuit plate, which makes it even more special. Eco-friendly Corporate Gift Ideas

It's an ongoing struggle to keep corporate giveaways fresh.  Now add the challenge of making sure the logo gifts are eco-friendly too. No fear, it can be done! I have a couple of new suggestions to toss out.  They're made of bamboo.  (One of the fastest growing plants on earth, it continuously. naturally replenishes itself.)

The first Eco logo idea is a funky custom bamboo business card holder.  I think it's unique and the glass ball gives it that natural contemporary look.  The logo is laser engraved into the bamboo, which takes the value up a notch. The minimum to customize is 100 pieces and they're in the $7 range to start, including your logo.  If you're an association, this would be a good way for your members to brag, naturally.

My other thought for the day, as a new environmental corporate giveaway, is a soft cozy fleece blanket created from bamboo and natural cotton.

When you're hosting an annual conference, one of your goals is to keep the event fresh, to have the attendees looking forward to new experiences each year.

One of the best compliments we ever received was when we were told by an executive how much they love to see it's our company sponsoring an event.  When they see our logo, they know the giveaway will be really cool and different.  That meant so much to us.

Custom Corporate Gear

I love Skype.  I'm probably their proudest vendor.  I not only love their brand and the founder's story, but I use their services to work with my clients and manufacturers from around the world.  It's true how technology enables us to do our work easier from anywhere. Skype allows me to see the faces and expressions of the people I work with, who I may not ordinarily get to personally meet.

Feel Good Corporate Gift

I was visiting the accounting firm that does all the work for my company the other day, which for some may not be such a pleasant time.  I'm lucky though.  I finally found a great company that really takes care of me and my company. (Teal Becker & Chiaramonte) I'm always made to feel welcome, spoiled and their number one priority. I was really impressed with a new addition in their warm lobby, on their friendly receptionist's desk.  (No kidding, she is always SO nice!) I wanted to share the idea with you.  It is a digital picture frame, hip, new tech item, and it continuously revolves flashing all the employees photos.  They are all smiling, they're all dressed casual as if just saying Hi!.  I know it's not good to stereotype, but accountant's don't have the reputation of friendly "How you doing?" attitudes.  This frame helps to tell a different story. It made me smile.  I pretty much only work with with Steve and Teri, but to see all the other great people that work there, smiling.  I felt good, I felt comfortable.  So if you're wondering about a great customized corporate gift to give out, or a great customized logo gift for all your corporate locations...a custom logo digital picture frame may be the way to go.  Another custom gift idea may be to send one along to your best client preloaded with photos of their newest building?  Their newest product? Custom Water Bottles

You want to do the right thing, but so much to learn...at least that's how I feel.  So I don't want to buy cases of bottled water and I believe that the reusable plastic water jugs are the way to go.  And compared to letting our environment pile up with plastic bottles we refill and feel better.  Well maybe, because now there are questions about the plastic leaking chemicals into our bodies.  In todays paper there is a great article on the subject.  The argument is that refillable water bottles are still the way to go, but steel water bottles are the best to use.  I did some research to find out what we can do to personalize water bottles, or customize steel water bottles.  What do you think of this promotional steel water container?  I like the fact that it can carry over 16 ounces, it doesn't sweat, has a rubber grip, unbreakable, double walled and the top can be securely fastened.  You know those times when the water bottle falls over and leaks everywhere?  Ugh.  This bottle has a push button sipper lid with a locking ring and it will fit in my cup holder. There are styles that hold 24 ounces, that have colored steel exteriors, pull sport tops etc...   Good thing is we're all thinking about it and working towards a safer world.  If you need a corporate gift that says your company is on board, this may be a good start.
