New promotional Ideas that follow trends

I got my first pair of fingerless gloves in New York City at a flea market about two years ago.  They're fun, they're striped... I love 'em 

 

I have a new pair for this winter, thanks to Louis from the Rosebud Casino in Nebraska.  Louis wanted to do a giveaway for the bikers attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2009. He did customized fingerless gloves. They came out great and he took the time to send me a few photos and a nice note.  That's Louis on the right.

 

"The gloves look great.  I'm fighting off our staff with a stick so that we can make sure we have enough for our promotion.  Great work.

The gloves are a hit, our promo ends this week.  The Rally ended the 9th, but we started a week before and are ending a week after because most of the traveling is done in that period. 

 

This was the first time we had done something like this.  And it was a success.   

The good deal is that we know they are wearing them when they leave.  A few us ride motorcycles (myself included) and we've spotted the gloves on the interstate and at gas stations.

This is the part of my job that I get high on.  Producing a cool product that enhances a Brand. Promotional items don't have to be stick pens and white 11 oz coffee mugs.   

I have a motorcycle.  When I started riding, I found out there is like a secret motorcycle hand shake.  I'm not sure how to describe it, kind of like a low hand wave.  Whenever you're cruising up the road on your bike and you come upon a fellow biker you both give each other a slow, low sweeping hand to acknowledge each other. It's cool.  I remember the first time I got one.  I felt like I was part of a secret club.  Makes me smile to think of the Rosebud Casino custom fingerless gloves.  It makes them doubly cool.  So now with the wave, they're not only fellow bikers but they shared a rockin good time at Sturgis at the Rosebud Casino.  Memorable.

Cool Logo T-shirts

I wrote in the past about t-shirt technology.  How new businesses are opening with digital printing capabilities that allow you to have one custom t-shirt created from your own design.  T-shirts are statements, you know?  They are very personal for me.  My newest additions are band t-shirts that I wear to the gym.  I've got the Ramones on my back and playing on my iPod while I work out, depending on my mood.

I found this guy's Blog the other day doing research for a project, Karl Long.  If you're a T-shirt fan like me I think you'll enjoy his writings.

I wanted to share this new technique we're working with.  Remember the masking tape t-shirt? and the shirt that has the logo look like it is made from leather that Timberland did?  Now we can do a skin look.  Check out the alligator style T:

This new print style is neat, the letters are very raised, this logo t looks exactly like a custom license plate:

These are all new cool screen printing techniques.  What's your message?  Like Skype would look nice with a cloud effect. We'll come up with a new way to present your logo so that your brand is the chosen T.

Let's talk t-shirts

 

We've come a long way from the imprinted t-shirts of the 70's and 80's, don't you think?  Remember your favorite t-shirt, my favorite was a navy blue RPI t-shirt that my Aunt Eleanor gave me.  I wore it down to practically nothing in my "tom boy" days. Cool t-shirts Rock.
Amazing isn't it? I think t-shirts are one of the ways some of us use to express ourselves. I have my black glitter embroidery style t-shirt on today.  It's the NYC skyline outlined in a glitter thread to give it the lights at night effect.  Simple but nice.

With advances in printing technology, new t-shirt business models are popping up around the world.  You create your own design, upload it to their site and wa-la your own creation delivered to your door. It's all about no limitations, no minimums, design, speed and personal creativity.

We do corporate branding, creative corporate branding!  So many new decorating techniques are available now, we have a blast just helping design cool custom t-shirts.  Did you know you can decorate a t-shirt and have your logo look like it was done in masking tape?   Check it out, this is a screen print technique.  Looks like you could pull it right off the material doesn't it?  There is another style that looks concrete, another that seems just like leather, but they are all just new screen print techniques. The sepia tone process is very cool to give a corporate design the aged look.  The design can look just like an old photo.

There are new styles of t-shirts to imprint on also.  There is a vapor t-shirt, where it takes the moisture away from your body.  Customized organic t-shirts are available in a ton of new colors, makes me happy.  We have beat up t-shirts, ringed collar t-shirts; I guess it depends on the look you're going for.

  The world is yours now when it comes to bringing your beloved t-shirt to life.  I have a thought, for fun...I'll send a screaming monkey to the best photo or even a good story about your favorite beloved branded T.  C'mon tell us, we really want to hear.
