Display stands for cell phones have come a long way.  Remember when one of our only options was this style for mobile phone accessories Branding?  It was new and worked for us at the time.

 

I like these new promotional stands.  I see them called the iStand.  (It seems people are putting an "i" in front of anything tech related these days, hoping to ride on the cool factor.)  This new little tech design suctions onto the back of your mobile device.  I know it would work better than my water bottle; balancing my iPhone when I'm trying to follow along with my ab video at the gym.

Minimum to customize is 250 pieces, including a one color imprint they run around $3.75 each. 

 

Here's another style that's fun, logo plunger cell phone holders.  Branding these will depend on your business, your sense of fun and your message.  They'll definitely get some smiles and discussions going.

Tech Giveaway for Music Lovers

Have you seen these new hoodies?  The drawstrings are actual fabric covered ear buds and the front pocket has a standard headphone jack hidden inside - all built right in. You don't feel any wires, everything is sweetly embedded.  The pocket also has a zip built in for extra devise protection.  It works with mp3 players, iPods, iPhones, etc.

Wow, the sound is dynamic, every time after every wash. There are style options from full zip to pullover, unisex or women's styles. The really best part is that they are machine washable.  Yup you read right.  You just toss them in with your regular wash and hang to dry.

Promotional Success - Wi-Fi Internet Radio Customized

I am so happy I ordered an extra one for me.  It definitely is my favorite new logo gadget so far in 2011. It's a customized Wi-Fi Internet radio.  Logitech makes it and searchignite wanted to Brand them during the holiday season. Great gift idea.

Here's mine on the corner of my desk, but I can bring it anywhere.  I'm embarrassed to say, but at first I wasn't really clear on what an Internet radio was.  Now I'm a huge fan. Thanks to my Squeezebox Radio; every day, all day, I'm working and being turned on to new music. I have my own personal DJ.

I downloaded a few free Apps, hooked up my iTunes music, searched out some Internet radio stations and I'm loving it.  I can choose any style of music I'm in the mood for. I noticed I most often return to the Indie Rock Radio on Pandora.  It's what inspired me to stop working on other things today and post this Blog to let the world know.

The little message that appears as it powers up even makes me smile.  Free Your music

New Rockin Technology Promotional Product

Have you seen the new mini speaker?  It's a little pocket size speaker, 2" x 1", that has powerful sound. A pocket size boom box I should say. Remember how cool it was when those little mini iPod or MP3 speakers came out a couple years ago? Sound was not much to write home about, but at least you could listen to music in your hotel room when you traveled. There is a new affordable promotional kid in town and he rocks. (She rocks?) The X-mini II is compact, give a turn and it opens up no more than 2" x 2".  They're available in red, black or white.  Mine is red and I LOVE it.  I use it with my mobile phone and my iPod.  It has a mini driver that projects such a rich and full sound you won't believe it. The sound is massive.  It recharges quickly through your computer and you get up to 12 hours of play time or longer.

New Promotional Idea for Kids

It was becoming common to see signs along the side of the road: "We have SillyBandz"  I was wondering what they were.  Well, they're a new inexpensive craze for kids. As a promotional trend follower, I should've known this. You can tell my kids are older.

They are Stretchy, colorful, shaped rubber bands  (View this photo) that kids are collecting and trading these all over the US.  They are stirring so much attention from the kids, that some schools are saying no way during classroom hours.  I thought if your company wants to target kids or their parents, and since school is almost out for summer, it may be a good time to customize some for your company. Especially if your audience is families.  As you can see from the photos above, you can group them into categories.  They arrive in a Poly-bag, have four random colored bands assorted in the following themes:  Transportation, Insects, Music, Fruit, Dinosaurs, Dentist, Sea Creatures.  Each pack includes a full-color 3 inch color custom card where you place your Brand and message.  There is a small area too that includes all the safety issues for small children.

Could be really cute for a State Fair Giveaway Idea this summer or maybe a summer camp.  Brand on.....

2010 Promotions We've Been Working On

We're one of GE Energy's Brand Partners and here are a few of the promotional products we've produced for them this year.  I'm not sure if you can tell from my photo, but the silver piece you're looking at is a ruler paperweight that looks just like a paper airplane.  It was created for a division of the Operations Council Members.   The customized bag that I have everything shown on, is made in the USA, 100% organic cotton logo bag.  Here is the other side, which has a four color process customization showing a great clear image of a neuron:

It's great to work with GE, number one they are always eager to see new products that are out, number two they raise the bar for Absolute Promotions, most certainly and number three they keep coming back and appreciate unique Branding.  One of my favorite clients to work with.

Oh my goodness, this was a fun project to be a part of.  A referral from our client MEGAFORCE RECORDS. The band The Cringe was looking for a way to promote their new CD Play Thing. After a lot of thought, they went with this customizable Monkey's in a Barrel.  Remember that game from when you were little?  You can see from the artwork on their new album how it tied in:

They are intended to accompany samples to DJ's across the United States. Great music, give a listen, it's their third album.

Another unique promotional project we've been working on is for the launch of a new product called miniCHILL.  You know how there are those energy drinks out there that hop you up on caffeine and other fun stuff?  Well this drink naturally chills you out.  It relaxes you and helps you mentally focus.  From what I hear, combined with a little "Spirits",it's a totally different buzzz. "Twice as Nice"  No calories, no sugar, no caffeine and none of that melatonin either.  You should check it out.  (We totally love our clients.)  These guys are risk takers when it comes to promotions too, love that.

A few of our clients needed some inexpensive giveaways that everyone could use.  They went with mobile phone promotional products.  You recognize the Driin Cellphone charger?  I spoke of that in an earlier Blog.  It rocks for recharging your cell phone or iPod and keeping them easy to locate and off the dirty floor.  The other piece you see is to keep the screen of your cell phone clean.  It is a little sticky cloth that adheres to the back of your device.  You know how sometimes your screens get a bit of sweat or makeup on them?  Well this little baby doesn't take up any space so you can still use your case, it can be rinsed under water and keeps its stickiness like new and it sends a positive Brand message every time your clients use it.  I have one for my iPhone and Love it!  I use it all the time. 

This is a mouse pad made of recycled tires.  It's a great promotional product for the eco conscience.  I think there was a time when all that companies gave out were mouse pads.  I think it's time we all get some new ones.  Especially green mouse pads that look cool and won't break the marketing budget. 

 
One more quick one:

I like these mints.  They can fit in your back pocket, two location Branding opportunity, they hold mints and toothpicks.  The rulers?  The back is already imprinted full-color with the presidents of the United States, so that cuts down on a lot of extra charges for extra colors.  The pricing includes your one color imprint on the opposite side.  The best part?  USA Union Made.  Killer plus now days!

New promotional Ideas that follow trends

I got my first pair of fingerless gloves in New York City at a flea market about two years ago.  They're fun, they're striped... I love 'em 

 

I have a new pair for this winter, thanks to Louis from the Rosebud Casino in Nebraska.  Louis wanted to do a giveaway for the bikers attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2009. He did customized fingerless gloves. They came out great and he took the time to send me a few photos and a nice note.  That's Louis on the right.

 

"The gloves look great.  I'm fighting off our staff with a stick so that we can make sure we have enough for our promotion.  Great work.

The gloves are a hit, our promo ends this week.  The Rally ended the 9th, but we started a week before and are ending a week after because most of the traveling is done in that period. 

 

This was the first time we had done something like this.  And it was a success.   

The good deal is that we know they are wearing them when they leave.  A few us ride motorcycles (myself included) and we've spotted the gloves on the interstate and at gas stations.

This is the part of my job that I get high on.  Producing a cool product that enhances a Brand. Promotional items don't have to be stick pens and white 11 oz coffee mugs.   

I have a motorcycle.  When I started riding, I found out there is like a secret motorcycle hand shake.  I'm not sure how to describe it, kind of like a low hand wave.  Whenever you're cruising up the road on your bike and you come upon a fellow biker you both give each other a slow, low sweeping hand to acknowledge each other. It's cool.  I remember the first time I got one.  I felt like I was part of a secret club.  Makes me smile to think of the Rosebud Casino custom fingerless gloves.  It makes them doubly cool.  So now with the wave, they're not only fellow bikers but they shared a rockin good time at Sturgis at the Rosebud Casino.  Memorable.
